Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MeowTarot — our website at meowtarot.com, our mobile app, and our apps for chat platforms such as Slack and Discord (together, the "Service"). By using the Service or buying anything from it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What MeowTarot is

MeowTarot has two parts. The free features — daily cards, readings, collectible decks, coins, and levels — are provided for entertainment and personal reflection. Readings, card meanings, and any guidance are for entertainment purposes only. They are not professional advice of any kind — including legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice — and should not be relied upon as such. You are responsible for your own decisions.

The paid products are custom digital artwork: you upload photos of your cat, choose an art style, and our automated illustration system creates a personalized 78-card art deck of your cat, delivered digitally together with a printable PDF art book. Paid products are art and collectibles — they are not a fortune-telling or advisory service.

2. Accounts

You do not need an account for a free reading. You do need a MeowTarot account to buy and keep a custom deck, so we can attach your purchase to you. You are responsible for activity under your account, and the information you give us at checkout must be accurate.

3. Custom artwork products

A core custom deck includes 78 digital art cards of your cat in your chosen style, a downloadable PDF art book, and 5 creative tokens. Optional add-ons include a reversed-meanings edition of the book, additional art themes of the same cat, and extra token packs. Everything is delivered digitally — into your MeowTarot account and, where applicable, as a download link. Nothing physical is shipped.

Each deck is generated individually from your photos, so exact results vary — that is the nature of a custom piece. Preview images shown before purchase illustrate each style's look; your cards will follow that style but will be unique to your cat.

4. Your photos

To create a custom deck you upload 1–3 photos. You promise that:

• you own the photos or have permission to use them;
• they show the pet the deck is for — no identifiable people, and nothing unlawful, offensive, or explicit.

You keep all rights to your photos. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to create and improve your deck (including re-generating cards you report). We do not publish your photos, use them to train models, or use your photos or your finished deck in our marketing without your explicit permission. Photo handling and deletion are described in our privacy policy.

5. Payments

Paid products are one-time purchases — no subscriptions. Web payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe); we never see or store your full card details. Prices are shown at checkout in Thai Baht or US Dollars depending on your market. Purchases made inside the iOS app, where offered, are processed by Apple under Apple's payment terms.

6. Delivery and quality

Generation starts after payment and typically completes within a few hours; we will notify you when your deck is ready. Stated times are estimates, not guarantees. Every card passes an automated quality check before delivery.

If a delivered card has a defect — for example broken anatomy, garbled text, or a card that clearly doesn't match your cat or the chosen style — report it within 72 hours of delivery and we will re-create that card free of charge. A defective card never costs you anything. If we are unable to deliver your deck at all, we will refund the order in full.

7. Refunds and cancellation

Custom decks are made to order from your photos, and generation begins shortly after payment. Because of this, an order cannot be cancelled and is not refundable for change of mind once generation has started. You are always covered by three protections:

• Non-delivery: if we cannot deliver your deck, you get a full refund.
• Defects: defective cards are re-created free under section 6.
• Statutory rights: nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Token packs and other add-ons are non-refundable once purchased, except where the law requires otherwise. To ask about an order, contact us using section 13 — include your order email.

8. Creative tokens and virtual items

Creative tokens are credits used to request artistic retouches of individual cards. Reporting a defect never uses tokens. Tokens have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for money, and remain available while your account is active. Free virtual items — coins, experience points, and decks unlocked through play — likewise have no monetary value and may be adjusted as part of operating the Service.

9. Your license to your custom artwork

When your deck is delivered, we grant you a permanent, personal license to it: use it inside MeowTarot, download it, print it for personal use, gift a printed copy, and share images of it socially. You may not resell the artwork, redistribute it as a product, or use it commercially without our written permission. The artwork is original and created specifically for you by our automated illustration system from your photos and our theme designs; the underlying theme designs, templates, and technology remain ours.

10. Acceptable use

Please use the Service in a normal, lawful way. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; do not upload content you have no right to; and do not use the Service to harass others or for any unlawful purpose. In shared spaces (such as a Slack channel or Discord server), use the bot considerately. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, including abuse of the free defect-report lane.

11. Intellectual property

The MeowTarot name, apps, website, free-deck artwork, theme designs, and written content are owned by MeowTarot and provided for your personal, non-commercial use within the Service. Your rights to your own photos and your purchased custom artwork are described in sections 4 and 9.

12. Availability, changes, liability, and law

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may update these terms — continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms; material changes to paid-product terms will not reduce what you already bought. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeowTarot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. MeowTarot is operated from Thailand and these terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If the Thai version of these terms differs from the English version, the English version governs.
