MeowTarot for Slack

Tarot flips for your fun channel

Type /tarot in #random, and eight face-down cards appear for the whole channel. Someone picks one — it flips into a real tarot reading with original cat deck art. All 78 cards, upright and reversed. Free, and it can't read a single message.

One approval click by a workspace member. The only scope it asks for is the slash command.

1

The two-minute break

Type /tarot in any channel. Eight face-down cards appear where everyone can see them. Whoever's asking holds their question in mind, picks a card — and it turns over right in the thread, reading included.

2

A real reading, not just a card

  • All 78 cards — Major and Minor Arcana, drawn upright or reversed
  • Original cat deck art — the Moonmallow deck, straight from the MeowTarot app
  • Keywords + meaning with every flip, and a link to the full card meaning
  • Full reading/tarot full deals the 10-card Celtic Cross: pick ten from a board of twenty-five
  • Draw again as many times as your team likes

IT will say yes

  • One scope only — the slash command; it cannot read messages or channels
  • No data stored — no tokens kept, no message history, nothing to leak
  • Never posts uninvited — it only speaks when someone types /tarot or clicks its buttons
  • Free — the full reading is the free product, same as meowtarot.com
How it looks

A real flip, exactly as it renders in Slack.

Questions, answered

Is MeowTarot for Slack free?

Yes, completely free. Every flip gives a full card reading — name, orientation, keywords, and meaning. There is no paid tier.

What permissions does it need?

Only the slash-command scope. It cannot read your messages or channels, it stores no tokens or data, and it only speaks when someone types /tarot or clicks its buttons.

Where does it work best?

Any channel — most teams drop it in their fun channel (#random, #entertainment, #watercooler). The whole channel sees the face-down cards and watches the flip together.

Can it do a full tarot spread?

Yes. Type /tarot full to deal the 10-card Celtic Cross — a board of twenty-five face-down cards appears, you pick ten one at a time, and the whole spread is revealed at the end with every position named.
